Eastward bound
Saturday morning we had breakfast at the hotel.
We really did not want to go out to eat because again it is very cold.
We checked with Tom but they were going to have a busy morning, they are still hopeful Lori will be discharged on Sunday. So we left with brother Rich's house as the next stop, it is about a 6 hour drive from St. Paul.
Kris and Mike sent us a picture of them on the plane...headed for Jamaica!
We reciprocated with a picture of us driving..not nearly as cool.
The drive was uneventful and parts of it were even in the double digits. I got June to drive and watched the first half of the Texans/Jaguars game in the car. It did was not coming in great so we were trying to get to Rich's by half time.
We arrived at Rich's around 5PM and were happy to see that Jule and Mike P. were both at the house. Jule is working full time and finishing her school, she takes the boards in April. I am sure she will pass and will be a fully licensed Physical Therapist with her PhD. She is a great kid with a bright future.
Rich made us all Spaghetti dinner while we watched the game, it was delicious.
Rich was in a bit of a panic because the real game, the Packers vs the 49ers, was going to be on Fox at 7:30PM and our $10 TV antenna in the garage wasn't getting Fox. After some fussing around and rescanning we able to find the station.
So Rich, Mike and I watched the game in the garage while June, Kris and Jule watched girl movies in the house...life is good. It was an amazing game, the #7 seed Packers gave the #1 seed 49ers one heck of a game and had a good chance of tying the score with less than a min left when Purdy threw and interception. Rich was heart broken but it was a great game.
This morning (Sunday) it is -4F at Rich's, we plan to leave this morning and drive to at least Ohio where we will meet up with a few friends that we meet on our trip to Germany last fall.
